I shot what would have been a nice buck but he's gotten his arse kicked fighting. Missing a lot of antlers on his head and has several gouge marks on his face.
Shot him at 100 yards with my wife's grandfather's. 308.

Same public land as this morning but different area.
Sitting in my lock-on in an oak flat with bedding areas to my east and west. Lots of trails cutting between bedding. Several fresh scrapes. Jumped a doe out of here while walking in. No jackasses in sight.
Confidence is high for this evening.
