My buddy just stuck a doe in the woods.

We’re gonna look for her around 10ish

The rest of us are not seeing anything in the food plots with all this wind

How is the soil in St. Helena? All worthless red clay? It has always intrigued me, it is a dead zone on a map. Would be a good place to go scoop up lots of land on the cheap and make your own town if you had deep pockets.

It okay. It’s kinda swampy we are.

No red clay

We’re off of 10 and 441, kinda down in the bottom next to a little creek that spits off the Tickfaw

Same, froze my toes this am and didn’t see shite. Hope y’all had better luck.

I’m always skeptical about hunting when it’s windy like this. But this was my last opportunity to hunt before season ends.

Yall seem miserable

Unfortunately I'm on call this weekend. I'm letting the deer think they have a chance until next weekend.

They’ve only bothered me once. I’d much rather be in the woods and cold.

Thankful I saw the first deer otherwise I might've bailed. Had another doe come out right in front of me around 9:15 am and I thumped her pretty hard with the 45-70. My deer season is officially done now. I'm going to go after squirrels now until the season ends.

Wilkinson Co. Miss
39* and steady wind out of north
Elevated box over food plot.

I'm not expecting to see anything if this wind doesn't die down, but I can't hunt next weekend so today and tomorrow are it for me. I am past ready for this awful season to come to a close!
