You can't get the 5.3 in the refreshed 2022 AT4, say what?
That's like saying you can't get ham in a ham and cheese sandwich.
It might be temporary since they need those engines for every Elevation, SLE, and SLT they’re building right now.

I haven’t looking into this in years, but has anyone tried to “hypermile” some of these new truck/ engine combos? The guys that use trucks like a fairly normal residential home guy- drive normal, tow a boat on the weekend, put it in 4x4 thrice a year when it rains at the camp, etc.
Im talking tune, program, right tires, etc to get the best gas mileage possible? I’d be curious what the 3.0 would do compared to say they Ford 2.7 EB.

the problem with 1/2 ton diesels is they put a diesel in there that should be in a cayon....not a full size. Put a capable engine in there that has more then 275hp not an eco POS.
The 1500HD is no more. These engines are designed for normal half ton capability with optimal fuel consumption. They do that job effectively.

I’m not too concerned with the oil pump thing. They only had enough data to make the claim that it lasts 150k miles, but during their R&D they ran engines well over 250k miles and never had to replace one. I think they were just limited on the claims they were able to make on it.
