Good luck!

I won’t be able to hunt until Friday and Saturday but we have a cold front and snow coming so maybe I’ll end the season with a couple more does.

Did yall have many acorns this year? We didn't have a good crop in Avoyelles Parish and I've heard the same in other spots.

Hit a 5pt Monday at 5:10pm high and back. Video looked kinda so so but tracked him for 200 yards and blood ran out. Looks like he lived. Put my bow in timeout a few days. Will be back at it soon but pretty ticked off at myself for the shot

He definitely lived long enough to run 200yds, but don't kid yourself and think because you didn't find him within that distance he is going to be fine.

Clarification: No knocking you for winging one. That shite happens to everyone. Just don't try to tell yourself or everyone on the internet it wasn't fatal just because you didn't find him.

Just had a C-17 do a low flyover out here in BFE.

Posted the video in the OT.

Never seen this before.

Place I hunt has hundreds of oak trees of all varieties. Seemed like all the acorns were on the ground at the same time this year. Deer weren't having to go to one specific tree that was dropping at the time. Couldn't find "the tree" at any point this season. The area I hunted this morning had one tree dropping last year that the deer were hammering for about a week. Missed a doe with my bow (hit a vine) and saw 4 bucks/3 does in 3 hunts there last year.

I hunt in Lincoln and Caddo Parishes. Terrible acorn crop both places this year. I don't remember how late that bad freeze was last year, but that might have done them in.
