Killed a huge bar on a place I hunted in Chance Rd off of Old Centerville years ago. Ended up losing the lease but I’ve never been anywhere with such a thick population of pigs

Gotta be pearl river wma. I’ve always wondered if there are deer in there. Do you have to have a boat/kayak to hunt that?

I’ve walked all over that place. Beautiful place but I’ve never seen much. Lots of sign. Killed a turkey in there 2 years ago. I’ve heard the islands on the Pearl that bump into are where the big boys are, but I don’t have a boat cuz I’m poor.

It’s in Madison county, so I don’t think it’s technically in Brandon

Jackson does have a lot of land that goes unhunted. Don’t think any of it is tehcnically wma tho

You’re less than two miles as the crow flies.
What are y’all seeing/shooting over there?
Had a few mature bucks on camera before season started (Sept) and only a few young ones since.
In the past week of about six hunts, I’ve only seen two young bucks that appeared to be cruising. Other than that, there’s a few does and plenty of yearlings.

Feliciana - as far as the pigs here, yes, there are too many. I made two feeding pens this year and have cameras on them. No pigs, but not many mature deer inside them either.
It’s nice not spending money feeding a bunch of damn pigs.

Just called in a 3 yr old 8pt. Pretty deer about 15” wide with some mass.

I love this time of year when I see bucks and think to myself “who the frick are you” because it’s one I’ve never seen in the tens of thousands of pics I have

Saw a big 8 point walking in, got peppered by duck hunters and didn't see anything once the sun came up. Doubt I'll go this afternoon, and if I don't then I'll be eating buck tag soup.

Not seeing much. Most of the activity is at night.. I’m just hunting on my land. I assume you are in a lease

Beautiful morning
Ladder stand, pines to the right, creek to the back
.270

I’m down already. Had to take a huge dump. Wife texted last night that we only had one back of meat left. Cowhorn down.

Not seeing much here in NW Amite County either. Most camera activity is right at dark or during the night. I’m gonna change it up this evening and hunt 2 roads that intersect at my barn. Probably lay down a scent trail and wait to see what crosses. I’ll be sitting in the barn waiting.

We hunted yesterday from
Mid morning till about 230 and nothing. Took the wife/kids to dinner about 5 and see deer chasing each other about 2 miles from the house. My oldest is itching to pull the trigger so I’m trying to get him on a deer.
Going to a memorial service in a few minutes and maybe Vines for lunch.
