He did. Pulling Lyles fricked everything they practiced and he wasn’t ready to be getting the baton from Coleman. It sucks but whatever.

that was very unprofessional.
Obviously the history of it sucks, but he was a complete dick there

I'm looking forward to LA when the evening isn't just an extended highlight show. I remember SLC was perfect because almost all of the big events were in primetime with the more niche sports being in the morning. The Late Night show was usually the X-games sports, medal ceremonies, and wraping up the day with interviews and highlights.

Going by the age of our T&F team, we should have a fairly dominant showing with Sha'Carri/Syd/Hall/Hocker/(Wilson ?) being the face of it. Swimming will be more of a "changing of the guard". Baseball will be fun (Mondo won't be the only elite American competing for their ancestors' origin country!) and I'm really looking forward to learning about cricket.

Looks like mantz and young had a good race.

Luckily (lol) the baby woke up right around 3am so I got to see the finish. Man I did not expect such a fast race looking the course profile. 2:06 on that course is nasty. Great job by our Mormon duo to get top 10!

Yea my daughter’s been going through a major sleep regression so I was half expecting her to wake up anyway. Never happened. Haha

Two separate teams though the team of king Kerley Coleman Lindsey had probably practiced repeatedly that order and knew when to go for incoming. You had basically the same team there for the final but only subbed in Kung fu for Lindsey then changed the whole order of it. Probably would’ve been better to have just shoved Kung fu in that last spot and let it ride. I don’t know what order they practiced with lyles but it’s obvious it wasn’t what they put on the track.

That was how I got into curling. My oldest son would always have me up early so I'd just throw on the Torino Olympics which filled its morning coverage with curling.

No medal for the men in the 800m. USA gets a 4th.

Very fast heat. Kenya wins the race for the fifth straight Olympiad. The American got the AR with a 1:41. Fastest heat in the event's history. 4th place this year would have won the gold in every prior Olympics but 2012 in history.

Dude he ran an American record and got 4th in the fastest 800m Olympic final ever. All these times would probably have won every Olympic Final except for 2012.

I wasn’t criticizing at all. He did really well, he just wasn’t as fast as the others.
