Yep.
Hoare - injured leading up so had an abbreviated prep, eliminated in repechage
McDonald - failed to advance 5k
Beamish - failed to advance in steeple, posted that he's been dealing with a pelvic stress reaction
Sinta Vissa, McDonald's girlfriend, is actually moving on in the women's 1500m

I’ve never been a fan of oncloud’s so I feel somewhat justified in that stance now.

I've seen it brought up a little bit on Letsrun: do you think the super shoes have something to do with all the pelvic stress reactions lately? To my knowledge, Klecker, Hoare, Gourley, Grijalva, and now Beamish have all had some version of it. 3 of those are OAC but the others aren't. I don't think the shoes are causing injuries per se, but maybe changing how often a different type of injury manifests. That is, maybe allows for increased intensity and you may not have problems with your Achilles, but your pelvis can't keep up with that loading.

I definitely think people are realizing that they’re relying on the super shoes for more than they were made for. I don’t think using them for races/some workouts are bad but if you’re using them as an everyday trainer you’re setting yourself up for not good things. Had a girl last year that was using the Nike carbon racer as her daily trainer. Made it 5 weeks into the season and ended up with a stress fracture in her shin. Now she’s super thin and has some kinks in her form but I don’t think using the carbon platers exclusively helped.

Yeah, Omar Epps can fly. Didn't scrape a hurdle in the QFs either. Smooth as silk.

Eh, she was in the room with a newborn. That’s not uncommon.
