Rotation 4, Bars

My understanding is that Simone has submitted paperwork for a new skill on bars, so I guess we'll see if she does it and how it goes.

Hezly Rivera, good solid routine, they showed her dad who is wearing a HR monitor, and it got up to 180bpm.
Score: 13.900 which is a very good score
Jordan Chiles
Score: 14.266
Simone Biles
Score: 14.433, very good score
Suni Lee, excellent routine, we'll see if she gets enough to be the 2nd highest overall score on the team, in order to get into the all-around final
Score: 14.866, and that appears to be good enough to put Suni into the all-around over Jordan. Amazing for Suni, but I feel bad for Jordan if this holds. The 2 per country rule is pretty dumb.

wtf just happened there with Biles? Was that score on the uneven bars surprisingly low?

No, it's a good score. She did a very good routine.

At 2023 Worlds Simone had a qualification all-around score of 58.865 and today her total was 59.566, with a hurt ankle. Not too bad.

Suni 56.132
Jordan 56.065
Differential of 0.067
That is the difference that will put Suni into the all-around final and not Jordan.

Yes. Nothing carries over from qualifications. Blank slate.

Minor calf issue for Biles. Not seen as an issue for Tuesday.

I’m watching now, but did Peacock not show the first two US gymnasts for anyone else? I’m so confused.

Simone hates the uneven bars. She’ll take that score all day.

Peacock also has feeds for each apparatus if you want to make sure to see at the US gymnasts.

Best. Scared of a podium sweep I guess.

Pumped for Suni after all her health issues. She brings what a lot of gymnasts don’t anymore. Artistic ability. She’s fun to watch for that.

The level of gym biles is doing at her age is incredible
We could go another 50 years and not see the skill she’s throwing out there

I recorded it on YouTube tv as well, so I watched the last 3 events on that since they showed the Americans.

Interested to see what Andrade puts up tonight with a new vault. Could make it a little bit more of a battle for Gold.

France is having a rough time of it in qualifications. ETA - officially not going to make the finals and there's still another qualification subdivision left. Rough day.

So insane. Hate the two per country rule.

Suni was absolute nails on those uneven bars
