You better not be a duck hunter.
even if he is, its at most a few ducks that wont know what hit them. This is thousands if not millions of organisms dieing slow and painful deaths. Slightly different thing than duck hunting

FWIW, I work in the offshore O&G industry.
I am 100% in the frick BP camp.
Those arrogant, limey fricks can GTFO IMO.
Completely worthless.
And frick all you idiots who support them because they employ you. If they didn't/don't develop the oil, someone else would have/will. You still will (read: would have) had a job offshore if it weren't for BP and their over teh top hubris.

He posted what amounts to two or three pelicans. Meanwhile, duck hunters slaughter how many thousands of ducks a year? I'm from Louisiana and this oil spill pisses me off as much as anyone. But I'm not gonna kill our economy over it.

perhaps you should take a trip out in the Gulf right now and see firsthand for yourself. Its eye opening.

I'm not employed by BP or even in the industry. I just think how everyone has this "frick BP and everything about them" attitude is ridiculous. None of us have any facts on what truly caused this and who exactly can be held responsible for it.We don't know if this was a problem caused by the cheapness of upper management or something that could have been caused by negligence that morning on the rig.
Coming on here and saying you want to shove crumpets up Tony Heyward's arse because you saw a picture of a drowning pelican just shows how easy these people are affected by the media and how emotionally weak they are. None of this gets anyone anywhere and doesn't lead to the intelligent civil conversation this board was created for.

It could help it. CLeaning up our homeland and rebuilding our infrastucture is one of the primary things in addition to WWII that got us out of the Great Depression. Alot of Homeland spending wouldnt nessicarily kill our economy.

Tony Heyward's ATTITUDE toward this disaster is what pissed so many off. That motherfricker acts like he has more important shite going on. What happened when calls were going to BP about incoming oil to Grand Isle/Barataria Bay 3 for three days? Now the mayor of grand isle is taking shite into his own hands and i commend him!

It's worth a whole lot since you're making a living off of what you're bitching about BP doing.

Well when I have family member's lives that have been turned up side down by this, explain to me how thats emotionally weak?

We all know people affected by this. Its a huge tragedy to the people that died, the environment and the people that are going to be affected by it later down the road. I'm just trying to say everyone losing their shite every time another story comes out is counterproductive and irrational.

I've had professional experiences with BP before this incident that contribute to my opinions.

Not true. Enough info was released in the congressional hearings for people who understand the technical aspect of drilling & well control to deduce that, at a minimum, BP is partially to blame...whether it be through complete irresponsibility or gross stupidity.

You're assuming that my opinions were formed by those pictures, when they were not. The majority of the ire for BP for myself (and I would suspect for several others) has stemmed from their perceived arrogance and lack of sympathy for the people and nature along the gulf coast.
I haven't listened to every news conference, but I come away with the feeling like they're just saying (while rolling their eyes) "Alright, dumb coonasses. Just leave us the frick alone and let us fix this. We're from London, and it's bad enough we have to be away from our families in this shithole of south LA, but now you and your gov't won't just butt out and let us try to fix this". I truly believe their PR BS and their attitude in response to the spill is where the disdain for BP had arisen from. Even from me...who gave BP the benefit of the doubt when this all started...until they started with the aforementioned arrogance.

and you saying that since BP is losing so much money because of the leak, we should all just chill out? Thats rational thinking!

There's no denying that this is hurting a lot of ppl financially.
That said, I went to Gulf Shores last week. Went to Lartigue's, which sells seafood. They catch their own seafood and sell it. I was pissed because they weren't selling blue crabs. He said they had closed the waters where he catches them even though their was no oil there. He went on to say that BP is going to pay him for his montly loss of income due to the oil spill. And on top of that he's getting paid to help clean up. So unless I'm missing something, he is making more now because of the spill than what he would have made without the spill.

I don't make my living off of shittily executing a cleanup effort with a smug PR attitude.
You're retarded response, BTW, is another reason I'm saying frick BP.
They're the degenerate piece of shite guy in your frat who slipped a sorority girl some ruffies and tried to date rape her. frick HIM for being a piece of shite and for making everyone who he represents look stupid!!!
