Wow, they just spanned up that monster. WOW The size of that thing simply amazes me. It makes that riser joint look like a twig.

No this cut with the shears is downstream of the kink. The cut between the BOP and kink will be done with a diamond saw.

So the kink that supposed to be restricting the flow (somewhat) is the one directly above the BOP. OK, gotcha.

Yes but... it isn't suppose to be the main restriction. Deep in the well they think there is restrictions as well as in the BOP itself.

I wonder if they are worried about the angle of the cut? Doesn't seem to be quite perpendicular. One would think it would self align as the shears close though.
