What he said. Cap is on. Oil coming out all around it. I'm too ignernt to know if this is just the mess before they get the pumps drawing the oil up the pipe, or if it's a complete Charlie Foxtrot at this point. I am still hoping for the best right now. (fingers crossed)

Will take a while to know what is going on. It was not anticipated to capture 100%. Will have to monitor the plume to see what the change is. It will also take several hours for the oil to reach the Enterprise if it is working. Then you can measure what the riser is producing.
Hope hydrates don't clog it up....again.

Looking at the amount of oil coming out around it I'm not sure the pumps with that diameter riser could keep up with that flow.
I hope it can but it just doesn't look like it.
