For the diamond saw experts:

I've always heard you're not supposed to run a new blade in an old kerf. Are they going to start a new cut or start up where they left off? Seems like it would really be a bitch getting that blade aligned in the same kerf.

I've always wanted a big spatula so I could just flip the idiots in front of me, out of the way.

I have watched these dudes on the ROVs since they started broadcasting, and I have read the reports of what they have accomplished. It has been pretty amazing.

Amen to that! They have done a fantastic job.

Depending on space they will probably rotate and start cutting with new cut intercepting the existing cut, but spacing and visibility may alter that plan

Is that an advertisement in the upper left corner of the live feed? If not it should be. They could sell it and then give the proceeds to the disaster relief fund. It would be good p.r.

It is not an advertisement. It is the company who is operating the ROV or the ROV boat.

It looks like from the CNN feed that something is tangled up. These guys have been doing a damm good job of not fouling up the lines. They must have a few dozen different things hanging in the water from ROV tethers to crane blocks and cables.

How does water bead up on a camera lens that is underwater?

Okay, did they get the saw unstuck or did they start using a new saw?
