Yeah, several sarcastic signs as well last time I was down there. I'm glad the people are voicing their displeasure.

they have no idea how good of a job the BP people who are in Grand Isle are doing to keep the oil out of Barataria Bay and off of the beach. Every body here is doing a great job.

Doubt they have an issue with the BP cleanup crew. But the fact of the matter is, if the BP people calling the shots on this well wouldnt have screwed the pooch, we wouldnt be in this friggin mess.

I expected more than that.
I remember when Grand Bois, just south of Houma had all those signs up where chemical companies were disposing of wastes in their town. This is really civil compared to their signs.

Yes I agree BP has a heck of a setup going on Grand Isle. Just glancing around you might think all is normal with all the people and the traffic. But it is cleanup workers not fisherman and families vacationing that make up the vast majority of the people on the island like would normally be the case.
No I don't know the numbers but sand dollar marina is freaking packed constantly. I don't see how they could be hurting. I be they are making more but if not I will be a bunch of money they couldn't be making much less. But like I said that is just speculation on my part.
Oil makes it in side there still but I would have to believe it is only at night when they are basically blind. During they day they have spotter aircraft and spotter boats running around. Boats and ships and Floatails cover the bays there all serving the clean up effort.
Met one Florida Tarpon guide that came over to help with the cleanup. He got in early, now most of people being hired are from Louisiana now that they ca afford to be more picky. But I digress. Just wanted to verify that YES they do eat mullet in Florida.
