Bald Eagles are nesting in the marshes of Louisiana? You must have loads of studies to back this claim up?

How can you say 2 completely contradicting statements within like 1.5 hours?

Because "I knew that" is exactly 1 notch above "Post was edited...." on the idiot post scale.

BP could handle the public opinion by hiring this guy as their spokesman.

I was making fun of your "bleeding heart". Not the fact that I new whether eagles nested in South LA. That part was a joke. You better stop worrying about the plight of the eagle and you better figure out the effects of this 6 month Moratorium on your "pocket book". This is a tragedy to be sure but Mother Nature has a tried and true way to make up for all our messes. Shes not very good with economics ,however. Man tends to have the corner on that debacle.

Clarification please. Are the effects you mention the effects on the environment or on the economy?

Once they get this thing capped eventually...which is expected later this summer..get back to me. I don't see how you can compare the Valdez to this nightmare on the gulfcoast. Geographically speaking, this one is far worse.

Have you ever even been to the marsh, fool? This board seems to have an endless supply of idiots.

I'm not so much a "bleeding heart" as somebody who has experience in marketing/PR.

Dead eagle images are going to start popping up
right about the time 1)Winter is setting in and activists nationwide are bored and 2)Financial ramifications are reaching everyone - not just the oft-abused citizens of the Gulf Coast.

If an image were a recipe, it would be quite simple:

Take the one living symbol of our nation. Stuff with oiled fish. Add additional oil to distaste. Simmer in salted water for 2 or 3 months. Shove it down the throats of all Americans. Make 'em eat it and pay for it whether they're hungry or not.

Ouch! Me thinks one should think twice before raising the ire of this lady. Well played, Trouble.

Hell, one only need to drive on I-10 across the Bonnet Carre spillway, and be just a tiny bit observant, to realize the truth of this. Don't even need to go out on a boat into the marsh.

BP is to be excused cause we are dealing with technical stuff that requires a lot of experts and fancy engineers.

You don't think that there is room in most peoples' intellect for concern about both the economic impact and the environmental impact of this atrocity? Why does it always have to be "my concern is more important than your concern" for some fools?
