Nah, that cold front will be moving in. The front is what will bitchslap the storm towards northeast with quickness.

That front is still coming. Look at the loop posted earlier. There is snow/ice in New Mexico. The front will move through after Zeta.

ban bet to the end of hurricane season that Delta wouldn't go west of... Vermilion Bay I think it was? Pecan Island?

either way... it went more west than that and he lost

*October

Also, it was originally a ban bet the track would/wouldn't shift east at some point, and it did on the very next update IIRC, but we ultimately settled on the anything west of Iberia Parish would be a loss for me, and that clearly didn't happen. I'm only posting this because of the technicality that I actually was correct on the initial terms of the bet.

Regardless, good luck baws. You guys are holding down the fort quite nicely. See you in the Tropical Storm Eta thread next week.

No, Slackster, we need you to return to the thread immediately. How about deferring the remaining days of your ban bet at least until we dispense with Zeta. I think that there would be plenty of support for a "ban bet deferral" of maybe 4-5 days.

The end of hurricane season is a bit presumptuous. The bet was for the rest of October. I don't know if this season will give up after Halloween or not at this point.

the NHC recognized end of hurricane season... the dates that are all drilled into our heads from the days we're kids

Levi said if it trends more west it will hook further NE when the front picks it up before hitting the coast. The guy is really good.

That’s what’s gonna happen. Once this thing gets past the Yucatán it will start to speed up and that front is gonna sweep it away....
