You know how I know you haven't even looked at a Ford yet?
Posted on 2/19/17 at 6:46 pm to Franktowntiger7
No one in their right mind would answer Chevy

Toyotas interior is so dated
You spend your time inside the truck, not looking at it

Tundra or Ford if your looking for quality. I'd go Tundra

I agree there, but the Tundra has twice the room and I will occasionally have 3 car seats in the back.

Agree it's dated. I have an 08 and it's basically the same as the current interior. Good truck though,

I hope you wear sunscreen on the left side of your face and arm if you drive that much.

I drove a Z71 for 10 years. Best vehicle I ever had.

I was literally in your same boat this week... I purchased the 2017 Tundra SR5 CrewMax with the XSP-X package and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. We test drove the Z71 and the Tundra and the Tundra blew it away.
I've driven a Tacoma the last 7 years so I may be biased on how they drive, but I don't have one regret.

I have had a Tacoma for 3 years and it has been a great truck. 115,000 miles with no problems.
The Tundra definitely has more noticeable power from the time it cranks up. The Tundra sounds like a truck. The only thing that has kept the Z71 in the discussion is that it is loaded out.

I'd go Z71, but I've never been a fan of the tundras. Someone in the thread hit the nail on the head for your situation; you'll be spending a lot of time in the truck rather than looking at it. Go with what fits you best in the interior and the handling.

Get a Honda Odyssey. You'll thank me later

Tundra is the best truck on the market
Pretty much every truck comparison review from the last few years says otherwise.

Z71 loaded is a nice truck. I get the Toyota reliability piece, and considered going that route, but just recently got a loaded LTZ Z71 (MSRP was~=60k) and it's a sweet ride. Just hoping it holds up.

I am driving a Tahoe for work ATM, and it drives so smooth. I would go Z.
