Anyone have a late model Yukon where the solenoid went bad?

Obligatory OT additions, it's my wife's car (no pics), it has a Salt Life sticker on the back, we vacation at 30A and when I fill up with gas the pump always shuts off all the time.

Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

Which solenoid? The one that engages the starter gear?
The ones that make the transmission shift or the ones that open the vent door in the ac?
A solenoid is just an electromagnetic switch/actuator

The one that engages the engine. Car won't start and I'm getting one click when I turn the key.

That’s easy as shite to fix. Or you can start the car with a screwdriver like I did for about 3 months while I was a broke college student

I have a 2011 Yukon and some gas vent valve always closes while I'm pumping gas. A real pain in the arse because it shuts down the pump/gas flow. I've had it replaced numerous times. Last time I took it to the dealership, they took my gas tank completely apart and claimed there was an issue with a check valve that is "very rare." It fixed the problem for for a little while, but recently, the issue has come back.

Is this what you are talking about?

We had an issue with starting, but I believe they determined it was either the hot or ground wire between the solenoid and the battery. Dealership said it was a very common problem. They use a voltage drop test for diagnosis.

2016 here without any start issues. Did replace the battery a year ago.
