How do you build anticipation for the Paris Air Show?

If you're U.S. jetmaker Boeing, you release a video that shows off one of your 787-9 Dreamliners in an impressive flight display. A a remarkably steep climb immediately after takeoff is perhaps the video's top highlight.

no thanks ...

With no passengers or cargo and with those huge engines those things basically become fighter jets.

If I'm flying on a plane, I'd rather the pilot not do tricks.

A plane that's bigger and heavier than a B-52 doing a near vertical takeoff isn't that impressive, really.

Did you see it takeoff like the space shuttle, minus the forward momentum?

So when will the dreamliner start flying into SXM? I am tired of flying on old arse 757s.

Whaaat? I've got a Dreamliner flight next month. I'll tip the pilot if he takes off like that.

make it a sizable one, he'll need it for the fine and probable loss of income

If I'm the Vietnam Airline maintenance chief, I'd rather the Boeing test pilots not do aerobatics with the brand new plane we just bought. Gotta be putting hella stress on the airframe.

Yes it is! I take that flight pretty regularly. I think the next stop after Denver is Tokyo. First class on the Dreamliner is plush.

That was cool. The only thing to make it better would be to show a bunch of shaven, frazzled looking Vietnamese people getting off the plane at the end
