Clean shaven

Not a fan of facial hair in a professional setting.

Clean shaven in a professional setting is a relatively new phenomenon.

Full beard. Trimmed with clean neckline.

Shaved tuesday morning before work and got mad razor burn on my neck. Hurts like hell. Waiting it out but I'll have to shave by work monday.

I want to try a mustache one day. But every time I trim down to one, I hate it.

When did this fad of young people and beards start? I doesn't bother me but just seems odd that so many people under 30 have full beards these days. 15 years ago it was not very common. Shoot half the people in this thread have said full beard.

Clean shaven, even though my whiskers are old man rough.

Other than a time or two when I took off like 10 days to hunt, I've never had anything approaching any type of facial hair. I don't care for it.

Sometimes, I shave twice a day if I got to my office really early, and there's something going on until late the same night.

I'm pretty fortunate, I only have to shave once a week and never go past a 5 o'clock shadow. I shaved last Sunday and am currently at a short stubble now.

Full time stubble, hit it with trimmers twice a week

This is pretty much me, too. I've been using a Philips Beard Trimmer for the last 1-2 years. I love the thing. It vacuums your whiskers as you shave so you don't have to worry about the mess as much. It's not perfect, but works well.

But full time stubble has been SO much better for my skin. I used to get ingrown hairs and razor burn all of the time when I shaved (old school double edge safety razor even). I guess I just have sensitive, bitch skin. I don't know. But doing the stubble has made life easier for sure. No skin irritation. Easy maintenance. And it's actually been perfectly fine from a career standpoint. I guess it's just common enough these days that people just see it as a beard and treat it the same.

Would you consider this a beard or stubble?

That looks more like a short beard than stubble, IMO. That's about what mine looks like by Sunday nights because I won't usually trim between Thursday & Monday mornings.

This is closer to what I typically try to emulate:
