Find whatever song you want on YouTube and copy the URL of that song Youtube Converter. Then just follow the instructions and it will download your song to ITunes, but make sure you use the mp3 button on the right when converting. Then all you have to do is plug in your phone to ITunes and add that song to the playlist under your phone's name.

I mainly listen to music in the gym or rarely in the truck. Doesn't bother me

I used to be the same way. But once I got a nice set of headphones I became a major audio quality snob. It's the main reason I started buying physical CD's again

I will also take advice on any docks that will go into my home theater receiver and get near to CD quality.

Do you have a solid pair of wireless headphones you can suggest for gym use?

I assume you're not a fan of beats, that's why I ask. Was gonna get a pair of solo 2 wireless but I'm sure I can get similar quality for less than $299

I keep music files on my laptop either in the My Music/iTunes folder or sometime just in My Music not in iTunes folder. You have to select Add File/Folder to iTunes to add it to the iTunes library.

I use these at the gym. They're not super high quality but the Bluetooth functionality works well and I wouldn't want to get sweat in my expensive headphones

I still buy the majority of my music in physical form. If I want it on my phone I'll just rip it and drag and drop.

That would be extremely tedious too add a significant amount of music to your library. If I wanted to pirate music, torrenting is much easier.

OP, spotify premium is $0.99 total for a three month trial right now. I was on the fence about paying for premium until a few weeks ago. I'll be continuing my subscription once thus 3 month period is over.

I actually hate Beats headphones in general, but I have a pair of Powerbeats wireless headphones and they're great. They fit snugly, don't move, have solid sound quality, and an above-average battery life. They're perfect for working out.

The biggest differences are the removal of ads, the ability to play music on a mobile device without shuffling, and the ability to skip from song to song as you please. Aside from removing ads, it's an identical experience on a computer. If you listen to music mostly from your phone, it's worth it. I usually keep about 32gb of music on my phone, but I haven't really touched it except for the 2 artists I like that refuse to be included on spotify.

So it's essentially Pandora without ads or a skip limit? I may try it out for only .99
