The weather here is terrible. I mean, I'll take it over living in like Maine or Alaska but damn. It's always raining. Its always humid. Hurricanes, floods, etc. Weather-wise its got to be one of worst states in the country.

I agree with you Nurse. The amount of trash of the side of the roads is noticeable.

It's you. If you're bored, you're boring.

I've lived in West Monroe, Baton Rouge, and Brooklyn, and I've loved them all and have never been bored. That's because I'm not a boring person.

Yes, plenty. I don't drink and can easily find things to do. Just have to find something that catches your interest. Living between Baton Rouge and New Orleans I can't say that I have any problem finding things to do.

I'll admit I've never been into drinking or going our to bars/clubs so it was never an issue for me.

Yeah, I'd be bitching too. But the good thing about LC is that you can get that epicurean delight known as the Darrell's Special, which other than the Wall Mart deli, is the only good thing to eat there.

I used to love it in Lafayette but the traffic is getting ridiculous and the economy sucks.

Louisiana is my birthplace. Left some 25 years ago. She has her positives and share of negatives but I think that is with most places. Louisiana has great cuisine, in some respects unmatched beauty when it comes to nature, some very friendly folks. Doubt I'll ever return but if I did it would not be in the confines of a city...done that...prefer rural living

The trash issue really is a thing in Louisiana.

I honestly never noticed it until I moved and came back, which is telling. I honestly think people born and raised in LA don't think much about it because it's just the accepted norm.

I agree. And coming back this year from Tennessee, it's just so damn dirty.

My life would be so much better if I didn't read your posts and if you didn't come back to this state.

I venture to say Louisiana leads the nation in broke down cars on the side of the road and/or busted for no insurance.

You're right about that actually. I just see it more in LA because I never travel anywhere else in the south anymore.

It pisses me off so damn much. Saw a guy throw a water bottle out his car window in the Walgreens parking lot and I stopped and started rolling my window down to tell him something and he immediately apologized and got out of his car and picked it up.

If you see somebody litter please give then shite and make them pick it up.

Amen. I can't stand driving down some scenic country road and seeing all the litter. Dumping is also bad.

Theater, live sports, club events, etc.

Hell, even LSU Alumni has a solid group of transplants that have a ton of intermural activities.
