I live in New Jersey so I am obviously not buying ammo. I have been assured though by the powers that be that I have nothing to fear and that all of the inmates being released are very high character, non violent individuals.

I'm not saying it's going to get to these levels, because it almost certainly wont, but there were no LEOs showing up after Katrina to either protect you or arrest you.
It's not incomprehensible that something like this could into a similar situation. It's not likely, but it's not impossible either.

Our lockdown order was announced while we were at the range. Emptied the clip in the 9 and put it away...stopped reloading magazines for the ar15 and used up what was loaded. Don't have a stockpile but I feel bad for any a-hole that thinks they can attack anyone in my presence or even worse, break into my house.

I was really hoping the ammo(and lead) market would go crazy from the kung flu. Just cast a little over 700 lbs of old wheel weights into nice, beautiful ingots for ammo/sinkers
