They ban it in the NE for concern about leaving out folks of religions and cultures that don't celebrate Halloween.

Meanwhile, the Christians down here have been fighting a War on Halloween for decades. A friend's office (of ostensibly grown arse people) switched to a Fall party years ago because of whining from a couple of hard core Christians.

Halloween just can't catch a break.

Speaking of stupid people....My wife did a pretty good job on the decorations this year and apparently the Jehovah's Witnesses felt the need to stop by and try to save our souls. Didn't even try to stop at any of the other houses on the street so we must be doing it right.

Nuts. Halloween is the Devils Day? Same idiots who wanted to ban Harry Potter or Life of Brian.

I'll give them a break this year as Halloween is on a Saturday. Why would they be at school on a Saturday?

However, this ban Halloween crap is bullshite! And moving it to a different day is crap also! You show up at my house on Oct 31, preferably dressed in a costume, and you're getting some candy. I don't really a give a frick if you shipped in from the surrounding trailer parks or not.

If you show up at my house on any other day, in costume, well, someone in the party better have some beer. You ain't getting candy!

So now the school district has excluded all kids from experiencing Halloween. Makes sense to the twisted mind of a Liberal, I guess.

You live in the South I presume? Do you ever open your eyes to the fight churches and religious groups wage against Halloween each and every year? This isn't lib or conservative, it's pick and choose communities who do this sort of thing. Both the Left and Right have no common sense.
