You're not remotely qualified to do so. You can do so however, it will just be ignorant.

I always thought it was odd that kyle
and littlefield knew routh was batshit
crazy, yet they gave him a weapon and turned their back on him.

This might surprise you, but your opinion means nothing to me.

I'd expect nothing less. Just pointing out your ignorance. Carry on then.

know how he behaved before and after deployments. He was weird and it wasn't because of PTSD.
Well he was a schizo, so he was weird by default. Regardless of that, PTSD doesn’t necessarily have to show up immediately after a deployment.

Again, your job does not determine whether you will get ptsd or not.

We can agree on this though. PTSD had nothing to do with Routh being a psychopath.

Oh I know. You can pretend that you have PTSD several years after a deployment the same as right after. I spent a lot of time with veterans who have PTSD. Routh wasn't one of them.

I didn't make that claim.

This may be a dumb question- but does anyone know when they diagnosed him with schizophrenia?

True American hero and warrior, even if he did tell a few tall tales along the way.

RIP CK.

You alluded to it though in a way by saying that he didn't have PTSD based on his job and/or activities while deployed.

Now was Routh full of shite when it came to PTSD? Probably, so. Actually, I think it was either determined or suggested by psychs that he was actually misdiagnosed with PTSD and should have been classified as a paranoid schizophrenic.

I just can't stand when people say things like, "Oh, you only did this or that while deployed, no way you could really have PTSD." It just comes off as severely misinformed. I understand that may not have been what you were saying directly, I just used your statement about Routh to point out another problem.

And before someone reads that and thinks I was just a fobbit/POG pushing papers, no I wasn't . I was a medic who had to do stuff both inside and out. No I don't have PTSD, and most of my time was spent being bored af. However, the most traumatic thing I experienced during my time in Afghanistan happened inside the wire.

Unfortunately the 95% of vets who claim PTSD are doing so for increased service connection and a larger “disability” check. I am a vet, and realize PTSD is real, but like anything else, the frauds have made PTSD a false narrative. I see it daily as a ED/trauma RN at a VA hospital. ETA: RIP CK

It's pretty sad they have to do that to get benefits. We sure are quick to put them in harm's way, but heaven forbid we actually deal with the consequences. But then it's not the politicians kids that are going anyway.

This fricking pisses me off. He was an armorer in Iraq and didn't do shite. His PTSD claims are an insult to veterans who are actually dealing with it.

Not if you've ever had to deal with the VA.

So you're mad at him because the VA sucks? Makes perfect sense now.
