Just like quartz watches except they have a rechargable battery that is recharged by solar power.

ETA: Here's a link explaining it. Just like the eco drive. LINK

The line about never needing a battery is bullshite. Like any battery, it can lose it's charge and need replacing. I've had to do it on my Nighthawk before.

Not my watch or hairless arm, but this is pretty much exactly what I have. I love it, and it's reasonably priced.

That Orange Monster is the best value for the money imo. I have owned 4 of them. Orange, Black, Blue ($400) and Yellow ($1200)

If you shop around online, you can find one new for under $200. If it ever dies, or if I break it, I'll probably look at an Eco Drive or a Seiko Solar. It's kind of a pain to synchronize this watch if I forget to wear it for a couple days.

I buy mine used. I paid about $110 for my black and orange.

You need a watch winder. You'll never have this problem again.

The face is a little busier than I like, personally, but damn that looks good against that black band.

Remove the Tachymeter and IAWIRN (I am wearing it right now).

So yes, I would wear it.

I bought my orange off of craigslist, just happened to find it randomly. $100, and then I paid maybe $16 for a couple of NATO bands.

All that detail crap on the dial is a turn off for me, but it's aight. I'm not a bracelet guy at all, so the band doesn't bother me. Not a fan of Citizen but they do in fact keep time.

ETA: Not even close. Would not wear any watch in this thread.

Broke, i was about to correct your Kinetic description but I'm sure you know what you're talking about. Kinetic watches are quartz watches that have a power source charged by the rotor. I'd guess they have a main spring that constantly supplies power to the quartz, but I'm not sure.

I think there is some misconception about them though since my BIL calls his Submariner Date a kinetic watch.
