I'm not saying your ole lady doesn't know baseball. I'm saying I wouldn't bring her into an email you are sending to another dude about his actions during a Teeball game. But that's just me. I would also explain to my kid that the jackass in question is not behaving properly and to ignore him. But if you make him quit your kid will thing the jackass won. And, well, he did. He's still going to be out there and you're not. But whatever you think. It's your deal.

I think he was wrong for stomping.

I'm fricking baffled.

Sounds to me like you are handling it well

I always find it best to wait 24-48 hours before I send off an email in a situation like yours. I am not judging your message one way or the other, and maybe what you said would not have changed, but calm nerves and a clear head are a big plus.
Also, since you weren't there, you were not the best person to send this email.

Arguing in t ball?
At that age you're lucky enough if they even get someone out when the ball is put in play.
I was expecting this to at least be a league where the players are old enough to pitch.

The only thing I disagree with is making your son quit the league because an opposing coach is a jackass. Just teach your son that the jackass coach is an example of how not to act.

Maybe quiting the league was a rash move. Like most of you, I can't get my mind around the fact that there's arguing in t-ball. I guess we're just sick of it.

When it comes to a mother and her young child, you can rest assured there was some major exaggeration going on. I would atleast ask another parent that was there if you could
It's truly amazing how moms minds work. I remember telling my mom things that would happen, and I would sit there a minute later as she explained these things to my dad over the phone, and it's amazing how quickly she added in details that I didn't say, or completely mistook what I said to make it more dramatic. Women are a crazy breed

Am I wrong in thinking that they don't keep score in t-ball anymore? I thought all games ended in a tie now, so we didn't damage the fragile ego of our youth.
I wish they would have had that tie rule when I played. All of the issues that I have today can be traced back to going 0-10 when I played t-ball.

They don't. Op is exaggerating his tale.

I wasn't going to come out and say it, but I was beating around the bush.
The OP and his wife are "those" type of parents that we all have to deal with while watching our kids grow up playing sports.

Short fat parents of unathletic kids?

OP - I totally understand your frustration, but having raised and coached 3 sons...you must not let this get to you so much because this is only the beginning. You will see in every league, every sport.
Going home in the middle of the game is not the answer nor is firing off an email. Either address it while it's happening and in ur situation, speak with you son after the game about that coaches actions.
But I'm with you, there have been many a times I just wanted to knock the crap out of a coach for acting like a douche.

Are you sure your wife didn't over dramatize the situation?
