Not totally. I think your initial take was fueled by disdain for his lifestyle and because of politics. It was veiled better than others and I give you props for expressing yourself without being derogatory, but it came off quite loopy.

He linked the group that was holding the "Bring your Bible to School" to Brees for supporting it and then quoted the Southern Poverty Law Center in saying that they are a hate group.
You can call that whatever you want. But, whatever you call it, it was fricked up to use Brees' name that way and imply (if not overtly state) that Brees' decision to support a cause led by that group was wrong.

He never thought Brees was anti gay, in fact he directly says that in his letter.
The main point was a plea for him to disassociate with the group if he is indeed a champion for equality like he said in his “set the record” presser.

...That's your opinion and I don't think it's supported by facts.
My opinion is that your take on this subject is completely emotional and not driven by rationality. You'll take this the wrong way, but my guess is that you, or someone close to you is gay, so you are overly sensitive about the subject.
Grow up. Very few people care. And, I'd even go so far as to suggest that he ones who get on here and say f@g are only doing it to be funny. They really don't care either.

The group wasn't promoting an anti-gay agenda. It was promoting bringing a bible to school. And, Brees went so far as to overtly state that he didn't know and doesn't support any effort to be anti-gay. That wasn't good enough for Dunlap.
It's not too dissimilar with what you are doing here calling everyone who disagrees with you homophobic. It's not enough that people keep telling you they don't care that he's gay. You don't want to believe it because you need that to dismiss their opinions.

Absolutely. And, it's looking like it was all part of the plan to extort money based on his homosexuality. So, he decided to slander Brees for personal gain. It's fricked up.

Don’t think so but you are entitled to think that way obviously. I don’t think anyone actually thought Brees was anti gay, but I know plenty people took issue with him aligning with that group, and not addressing it during his statement

There is nothing to get. That's the point. Nobody really cares. And, nobody is going after Dunlap for being gay. But, you are so emotional about the subject that you can't handle these words even if they are jokes.
An extreme sensitivity to a slur that's made in jest doesn't make it rational.
