eh, I think he had a good heel persona going on, but for whatever reason his booking just wasn't catching on. No one today really wants to see DB get his shite kicked in just for being a little guy, and that's essentially what the story line was. Just bad booking.

Mella is actually sort of over. Cass would be too if they put them together. He was fired for going off script in a match against Daniel Bryan. Also the lack of charisma thing didn't help.

WWE announced the release of Big Cass earlier this afternoon, posting a very brief message which simply said:
WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass).
-- It is unclear exactly why he released, but there were reports recently that Cass was in the doghouse primarily due to an incident in which he went off script, against not only the direction of road agents/producers, but Vince McMahon himself. The fact that the message from WWE above is short and to the point and not even wishing him luck in the future is likely a good indication that this was not a pleasant parting of the ways.
