Well, the Fiend character is different than Elias. It probably wouldn't be a good look for him. He's relying on being feared. Elias's character isn't about that.

Angle's character was a Olympic gold medalist. Everyone knew he was legit one of the best wrestlers in the world. He may have been goofy but he was certainly feared in the ring.

KO wasn't "feared" as a champion and he did fine. There have been all kinds of seemingly weak heels who won titles by cheating. When Seth faced KO at Hell in a Cell, KO wasn't feared by Seth. I just don't see why that's important in all cases.

Im just sayin for guys like Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt who can talk great on the mic, you lose your effectiveness after a while if youre consistently getting your arse kicked
