Big fat who cares about this UFC stuff

Fox does

Fox wanted a legit sport feel to it... hyping Velazquez vs. Lesnar does exactly that

I'm thinking this is a short term deal, like maybe two or three ppvs at the most. Could be just one though.

I'll say it. I know its still somewhat apples and oranges, but I enjoyed AEW more this week.

Velazquez has been wrestling... as noted he's wrestled in Mexico in AAA

that makes him the best option

I get it

And understand why

But I don’t see it being a long term program

depends on if he has a long WWE contract

if so... this could be a big 4 PPV type build

To be fair, this smackdown sucked. I didn't see much wrestling, the storylines are weak, Velazquez is just too unknown to most of America. They needed to be exciting and capture people's attention, the only people who enjoyed this we're gonna enjoy it no matter what they trotted out cause it's WWE.

It was obvious he would lose since Brock draws more

But he could have put his foot down and told creative to kiss his arse and he would work. No champ should ever have to job like that

I mean him and Seth are the same size

Yeah I agree. Cain will get that response since he’s from Cali but most fans don’t remember his fight with Brock from 8/9 years ago. Not to mention he’s been pulling out of ufc fights for being injury prone

I get both sides of why/why Cain shouldn’t be in Wwe

I just wish there were more longer running angles and programs

This is WWEs overall problem. They spend time and money developing and building characters, but the second Vince smells mainstream attention or nostalgia they damage their own investment. They reinvented Corbin in the kotr and built the damn tourney around him, and in 5 minutes he gets beat up by Becky and the Rock in his once every 4 year visit, and gets a terrible chant gifted to him.

Then Kofi gets beat in seconds in one move after spending the better part of a year building him. I get he should've lost, but that made him and everyone he beat look weak. Brock won't be there every week, and who knows how much Cain will actually do, but he will get a blurb on sportscenter and that's enough to get Vince's dick hard.
