Hey rt3, while you're cospiriating (spell-check tells me that ain't a word), you see about the nuclear attack that's going down Sunday at the Bucs-Seahawks game?

They should have done a time delayed episode from another country nearby.
Fox wants them to be live every week.
the Saudi show I believe has long been set... long before the Fox deal was finished being negotiated
so as soon as the Fox deal was finished they had to realize their dilemma

is this about Josh Gordon being claimed by the Seahawks off of waivers?

No, it has nothing to do with that.
It has to do with people thinking there is a false flag nuclear attack that's gonna take place this Sunday in Seattle. I'm giving it a 0.05% chance.

Sounds like poor planning on WWE’s part. They should have done a time delayed episode from another country nearby.
That's actually a great point. This was a learning lesson for them. In the past they had 3 days to get back for the next show. They need to either have this in the middle of their European tour (perhaps with SD from Italy) or do the show Sunday with mostly SD so it minimizes disruption of RAw (and if it does you're pulling from one USA brand to another. FOX can not be happy with tonight since the situation got 0 mainstream publicity for them to capitalize upon.

For a break from the possible nothing burger of the mysteriously broken plane...
[Keyfabe]They sat on there for 6 hours. Then they quickly got out of the country. Perhaps the Saudis were just disgusted by the thought of Bobby and Lana that they decided to give Rusev an extra 24 hours to legally beat the shite out of him.[/Keyfabe]

Fox wants the NXT guys. They view them NXT as the most “athletic” brand.
FOX is going all in on two things - Sports and News.

I'm getting pulled into a basketball thread involving a NAIA team on the MSB
our combined NAIA knowledge could learn them something

They can do an east coast Smackdown on Friday and then the Saudi show on Saturday. Leaves plenty of time for the raw crew to get back for Monday's show.

Didn't McAfee say last night on the WVU-Baylor broadcast that he was going to be in Memphis for the College Gameday show (not the guest picker this time)? That would be a lot of travel for him in less than two days.

Jerry Lawler is GameDay's guest picker tomorrow.

Impossible. Let's keep it simple. There's a 8 timezone difference so that's 5am Saudi time. Takeoff-Landing is 12 hours which puts them there at 5pm Saudi time (9am CDT). Preshow is at 7/11 with a main card at 8/noon. So they'd have to leave SD, get to & through the airport in the US, and then get from airport-arena...all of that in just 3 hours.
You're then sending wrestlers out there who will have wrestled twice in 15 hours with a 12 hour flight in between. You think the UT-Goldberg match was bad?!?? It would look like a 5? match compared to jetlagged rundown wrestlers.
I guess they could make something work where perhaps the main event of SD goes first and they take Vince's jet before wrestling in the main event. The rest of SD could be Evolution. Or heck just make it an all women's SD and send everyone like they have done.
Or do the show on Wednesday. With what they are being paid they shouldn't complain about losing a few more days at home. I didn't realize they fly back across the ocean in a few weeks. Not cuffing Saudi to the European tour is ridiculous.
ETA: They're over Italy now.

Found a link to the info and it's worse than I first read.

“A source in #WWE told me the situation is ‘getting bad.'”
“I’m told U.S. Ambassador John Abizaid is now getting involved.”
“According to a source in #WWE, the people in the company still in Saudi Arabia are being held ‘against our will for all intents and purposes.'”

Rusev hint
Rusev will be the first one to let out what happen, but I think he dropped the first hint in his tweet. Rusev said, “ at this point in time We need all the prayers........ brother”
From that it seems like hulk hogan might have screw something up for them, brother

It took basically all the SD stars to be unavailable and NXT to come in on short notice to have easily the best SD yet on Fox and the best SD period in a good while.
That should tell Vince something right there.
