if I'm on that plane... I'm not really feeling safe until we're over Italy or France (looking at the flight plan on FlightAware)

that match was probably heavily restricted by the Saudis

It was awkward AF. There's two things that stick out.
1. Becky on the boots in her normal uncovered gear.
2. Who was the lady they both went to immediately? I think I've seen her before but can't remember where. Is she the women driving advocate?

FWIW I believe Mansoor could get over with the American crowd if he's start given more TV time... and would fit in perfectly in the cruiserweight division

He's as good as the fliers on the main roster. Very impressive. Again though, if there has been an ugly incident he may be in a very bad situation in the future.

I just noticed they first left the gate as SD was going off the air and weren't cleared to takeoff until 17 minutes later. They're also way off their flight plan in what looks like the fastest way out of Saudi airspace. I doubt many of them have slept in the last 24 hours so I don't think we'll see anything on Twitter until they're home.

We live less than a mile from one of the referees who worked 2 matches over the yesterday...my son and his are in the same class. Also one of their former referees makes pizzas down the street so I'm sure I'll hear something in the coming weeks.

granted Cesaro could work a cactus to a good match...

but Mansoor's move set was actually quite impressive

this plane is not taking the route in the flight plan

it is trying to get out of Saudi airspace and into African airspace ASAP

ETA: the FlightAware flight plan says it's supposed to go NW... but it looks like it's going due W at the moment

Yep like I just posted. 99% sure something happened now. Why else immediately change from the flight plan? I thought the filed 30,000ft cruising altitude was a bit low for flight over Jordan/Syria/Israel. They did have to activate the "iron dome" over Israel last night so that could be the 1% chance that nothing sinister happened.

Just playing this out, what does this do to the company? They're publicly traded so the mechanical issue reason could have duel purposes. For all we know they could have bitched at Vince with him responding by ripping up the contact for future events. Without that money they'll have to find similar money elsewhere and that likely means no more Saudi-out of retirement million dollar paydays. Do they leave the set there for local workers to disassemble and ship back? If it was still up they could have done an empty arena Smackdown... though this was much better. I'll take Rusev/Lana if we're guessing who'll leak first.

I agree Rusev or someone like that will leak first what happened if anybody does.

I'm more interested that the planned flight speed is 585 mph but it seems to have topped out around 520 mph

that could be atmospheric (read: head winds) slowing the plane down... but still

the plane has actually climbed up to 32,000 ft... as noted above the planned flight altitude was 30,000 ft

I’m going to laugh my arse off if y’all are going balls deep on the conspiracies with this shite when it turns out that they were just on one of those damn Boeing planes that break down more than a Ram truck lol

FWIW the plane is a Boeing 747

and I'm not saying it's any kind of conspiracy... I'm just trying to put myself in their shoes and realizing this trip from hell is hopefully... FINALLY... almost over

Sounds like poor planning on WWE’s part. They should have done a time delayed episode from another country nearby. Or already had NXT talent in the city.

With trips like this you hope for the best but prepare for the worst. And where were all the female wrestlers? Meh whatever, NXT got some shine. Yeah USA got some pub, but FOX got to use their talent so fair trade there.

NXT was here in Memphis (Southaven MS) a month ago where the G-League team plays.

Got about 3000. Good IQ crowd though.

My girl Bianca made it to WWE tonight!

plane hit the Red Sea... immediately turned NNW to head back towards its scheduled flight plan

they did want to get off Saudi shores with the quickness

As the plot thickens...

They're now out of Saudi airspace and it looks like they immediately made a NW turn over Egypt towards their original path.
