This was in works already no matter the travel I’ll guarantee it.

They stumbled into a way to save their asses.
Between tonight and the Fiend, you have the path forward.

Right, but they probably had to move that timeline up by a couple weeks

I think this is just a temporary bump for NXT. It should end after Survivor Series. Let's see if they can continue this on Raw.

the plane Voices of Wrestling has tabbed as the flight with the rest of the WWE people on it has FINALLY taken off from Saudi Arabia
took off literally 5 minutes ago

I'm sure these guys have been on some long flights...
but I'm willing to bet this 12 hour flight from Riyadh to JFK will be the absolute longest in all of their lives

Has there been any reason given for the delay, or was it just because Saudi Arabia could?

They keep going with the "technical issues" with the plane, but I'm interested to see how this story changes once everyone is back in the states

I mean, why keep them there, just to screw with them? Power trip? Threaten to not ever let them leave and make the wrestle every day for the royal family to earn their supper?

Since Vince and God Emperor Trump (Im just joking with the name people) are friends Trump may nuke Saudi......
I wouldn't be surprised if a Trump phone call got 1 of those first 2 charters out of there. (I'd be certain he did if Linda was still in his cabinet.)
According to Flightaware the plane took off just as SmackDown was going off the air. Maybe it's a coincidence but these last 24 hours have been crazy.

Where are you seeing this reported?
Meltzer/Twitter/websites have provided a patchwork of the fallout from whatever happened. I didn't notice anything weird with the PPV to piss the Saudis off. If it comes out that they got their towels up their arse about the women's post match hugs/crying/selfies and did this...I think the entire roster will refuse to ever go back.

the Wrestletalk Brits talked about the women's match yesterday being awkward and clunky... like they were being very careful with everything in the match
that match was probably heavily restricted by the Saudis

for as long as NXT is doing its weekly shows in Full Sail... Dynamite will always just feel like a bigger deal than NXT on USA
I think tonight showed they are ready to leave the intimate setting. I could see them do NXT on USA in smaller college arenas and do something like "NXT Next" back as a recorded weekly hour long show.
The talent is so deep. As for NXT, it would be awesome if they worked out a rejection/call-up system now that we've seen both sides of it.

I noted that as well... the coincidence that the plane took off just as SD was ending

talent is not an issue... not 1 bit
but an excited crowd of 5,000 will always feel more awesome than an excited crowd of 500
ETA: FWIW I believe Mansoor could get over with the American crowd if he's start given more TV time... and would fit in perfectly in the cruiserweight division

There is talk of NXT hitting the road in January. They would be playing the same type of buildings AEW is playing, the 6,000-10,000 seat places not NBA arenas like Raw and Smackdwn. They need to start announcing shows soon if that's the case.
