Pit owners and enthusiasts, no one wants to adopt your shitty pits and pit mixes. Be fricking responsible.

A very common mindset I’ve seen by Pit owners is “don’t give a frick what anyone thinks.” AKA trashy.

But I am almost convinced that they just happen to be the breed of choice for trash a-hole (trasholes?) classes of people who are terrible dog owners, and that's the main reason their attacks are so prevalent.

you're right

it was rotties when i was a kid

the problem is that trash love strong, aggressive dogs.

. I would support legislation that mandates spay and neuter for all dogs unless you have a license to breed dogs.

I would support this.

Dogs aren’t weird or trashy. It’s humans that are weird and trashy. Dogs are just dogs, descendants of wolves. When they act like wolves, you should not be at all surprised. But when people act like pussy cats, gerbils, or parakeets, or fail to act like one that is in the top of the food chain, that should send up alarm bells. Dogs understand their nature. Humans often do not and are confused to even their own gender. Dogs don’t suffer from this, but humans do. So I ask, who’s the real scary one here, the one that acts within their nature, or the one who is confused over the most simple things in their nature?

We have a 45 pound pit mix who has been nothing but a sweetheart. Never bitten anyone or another dog and is great around little kids. My nieces and nephews have been around her since they were babies with no issues. But we got her when she was 3 months old from the pound and she had 2 older dogs in the house to learn from.

Look dude, I’m no Caesar Milan and don’t understand dog psychology, I just know good dogs versus bad dogs, or aggressive versus non-aggressive dogs. I don’t trust pits and won’t be around them. Save the “It’s the owner” excuse for lion and tiger owners.

People don’t like pitbulls for obvious reasons, they’re dangerous and unpredictable. There’s mountains of evidence to prove it.

Shitty pitbull owners don't get their dogs fixed. Probably in most cases it's simply because they don't want to pay for it.

Not in the market for a new dog but if I was I'd adopt this little guy in a heartbeat.

Pit bull owners are often poor and trashy people. They get them because its the cool breed to own in their hood or trailer park. Then they realize they can't afford the food, vet bills and heartworm meds. Or the dog becomes destructive because the owner doesn't realize that they need to give regular exercise to a young dog so it burns off that energy running around outside instead of burning it off chewing up the furniture. Or they're renters and the have to give up the dog because they're moving to a place that doesn't allow large pets or they got the dog without their landlord's consent and got threatened with eviction when he found out.

They’re dogs. They understand dog/wolf language. They’re not good or bad. They’re just dogs. All dogs have the potential to be aggressive given the right circumstances. To them, it’s nature protecting them and their fight for survival. You’re trying to impart human reasoning into a canine, and it doesn’t fit.

I adopted one of those type of dogs. The dog is great and certified for off leash in my county in designated open space. He will also never have puppies. It is unfortunate many individuals will use the dogs for bad and let them breed at will, but to have your attitude in regards to that doesn't help a damn thing. It's still a loving dog that just needs a good home

We should start a pit bull adoption agency, get pit bull owners to subsidize it, then euthanize them all in secret. Put Hitlers ideas to good use.

I like it.

We can call it “Heavenly Pits”. Tell the previous owners, “He was adopted by a wonderful family with a huge farm and he’s running around killing innocent animals to his hearts content.”
