Wtf is with women and filters on dating apps?

It seems every dating app woman is basically catfishing by using a filter on their photos to enhance their appearance.
shite is ridiculous.
Make up? Fine. You can actually look like that in real life.
A filter to make you appear better in photos? Totally unfair. Sounds like this is the norm now though.
I know, I know. FaceTime them before you meet. But still....the situation and deception of it all doesn't sit well with me.

It used to be they had to be decent with the layers of makeup to fool you. Now, all they need is a smartphone and an app.

Well, to be fair, there are plenty of decent looking 3 figure salary guys that aren't married or have a girlfriend on there as well.

Filters are ridiculous. Some are so heavy, and it makes them so smooth that they look like a cartoon

I’ve got a slight tan everywhere but my face, so I need to go get some bronzer that won’t oxidize so I can look less like a vampire.

Consider it a good way to weed out one type of crazy. It’s pretty obvious if a woman is using filters or convenient selfie angles.
I truly don’t get it. I’d be so embarrassed to show up for a date and have the dude unpleasantly surprised because I’m uglier than he expected. My self-esteem couldn’t handle it.
