I believe that our government lies to us at just about every opportunity, but I’m having trouble connecting the dots on this one … what’s the upside for the government demolishing that building like that? Wouldn’t be to hide anything, easy enough to claim damage and restrict access until it’s taken care of; don’t see how it could benefit anyone financially as the insurance company was going to have to replace everything down there anyway.

I think having millions of tons of buildings falling next to it very likely destabilized it’s base and that caused it to fall.

The conspiracy that will never die.

If anyone knows anything about the work that goes into a controlled demolition, you will know that it is absolutely impossible for Building 7 to have been purposefully imploded with dynamite. In order for a controlled demolition to go off, construction crews would have to have gone in there and stripped the building clean so that explosives could be attached DIRECTLY to the support columns. What those gifs in the OP fail to show is what happens prior to the building's collapse. Here is a video showing the full process of a controlled demolition:

As you can see/hear, the collapse is proceeded by a number of small detonations from charges interspersed throughout the building. Those detonations can be audibly heard to all those in the immediate area of the demolition. Had WTC 7 been imploded in a controlled demolition, I'm sure we would have had hundreds of eyewitnesses reporting the sound of multiple explosions prior to the building's collapse.

Bottom line, WTC 7 was heavily damaged by the collapse of two massive skyscrapers. The collapse of WTC 1 and 2 started multiple fires in the building and created a gigantic hole on the side facing the towers. The building was weakened by massive chunks of falling debris as well as by the large fires which burned mostly uncontrolled for hours. Firefighters were evacuated from WTC 7 when it became obvious that the threat of collapse was very real. When the building finally collapsed that afternoon, it was expected by city officials as well as the media. I remember watching Fox News that afternoon and the commentators reacting to the collapse of WTC 7 as if it were a foregone conclusion.

Very well stated Roll Tide 1987. I once saw a skyscraper get taken down (across the street from my office) and it took them two weeks to get it all set up. You can't just stick a few sticks of dynamite in the ground floor and make it go down. And I was allowed to stay in my office (as long as I kept my windows closed) to watch and just like you said it was 30 little boom-boom-boom-boom-boom to cause this controlled demolition.

And throughout the day of 9/11 as you said all the news channels were saying "And we are awaiting word on the WTC 7 which has been heavily damaged and evacuated as a precaution" because....well, it WAS heavily damaged and in danger of coming down...which it did.

That video in the tweet contradicts itself. They said the towers fell as if in free fall, but then say it took 10-12 secs, which is slower than free fall of 9.2. They aren't taking into account the fire within the building on the levels below the impact site which weakened its structure, thus when the top gave way, there was enough energy to collapse everything below.

I definitely don't think we know everything about that day or the events leading to it, but it seems to me that the towers fell without additional explosives.
