Would love to hear how you think Trumps economy hasn’t far surpassed the two life long politicians (Biden/Harris) that literally have never gotten anything constructive done in their careers.

I gotta say it was very inconvenient of them to start this while Steve Lookner is on vacation in Buenos Aires.

Reading through this thread, I am certain we are in the “good times create weak men” phase. The antisemites and closet socialists are disgusting.

Well, when you frame the question in those good faith terms

I have a family and we’re all a little spooked about what’s happening. Where should we go to seek safety just in case Iran retaliates? We’re in the bathroom in the middle part of our home right now.

Phrase it any way you like and then give an answer

Why would this cut off China's oil supply? Is it not just going to limit worldwide oil supply and push China into other markets? Basically just drive oil higher?
China receives over 20% of its oil from Venezuela and Iran. That oil is highly subsidized. They’re getting that oil for cheap.
Once that spigot is shut off, combined with losing almost exclusive access to the Panama Canal and other shipping channels, their global position diminishes, and their cost of doing business skyrockets.
It’s also a tongue in cheek meme that overly simplifies what’s going on. No need to dwell too much on its meaning.

Not really sure but she married into a hugely powerful Jewish family, you don’t do that with daddies support if you’re antisemitic.

Go to your bomb shelter and set the lock for 30 years.

So 20% of their oil is going to go up in price? By how much?
Because the other 80% is about to get even cheaper than it was.
Why were they using the Panama Canal? Was the American oil they purchase coming through there?

Look, I'm agnostic on this operation at the present time. If it results in regime change and a stable Iran, fantastic. If it turns into Iraq 2.0, then clearly it will have been a mistake. I will note that we saw cheering Iraqis in the early hours of the 2003 invasion too. The ones we have to worry about are keeping their heads down and biding their time. They'll make their presence known eventually.
It's also amusing, although predictable, how quickly some in the "no new wars, America First! crowd have changed to interventionists. Hat tip to those of you who have maintained your principles. The others aren't devoted to an ideology, but to a personality.

Fwiw that was a missile that was shot down and it fell in the hotel. Shitty part of being in a war zone.
