I bought a used camry more than a year ago for 6k. I wrote a check for it. I have a tacoma I paid 25k for a few years back. I wrote a check for it too. The tacoma is in the garage secondary to high gas prices.

That's why when the time comes, I'll just drop a new engine in my Tahoe. The body and all is in excellent shape. 10k vs 90k? Not even an afterthought.

Definitely won't be buying a lariat off the lot.

Shouldn't be buying anything off the lot. This isn't the 1970s. Get on this internet thing and find the car you want somewhere else, new or used. We bought my son's car from a place in Houston and had my wife's car shipped from New Jersey. Saved thousands, easily, compared to local dealers in BR area. If they have you on their lot, you've already lost. Shipping vehicles is cheap.

Then go away from where you are They start at $38k-ish after destination, but this is for the LE. If you want fancier stuff, the XLE is around $42k.

Yea, not to mention I don't want an electric vehicle. I might keep my current car until I just can't keep it running anymore. Sucks because I want a truck, but I just can't. Not with those prices.

define “good”

My daughter bought a 2015 Nissan Sentra with 78,000 miles for $7900 out the door. The car is pristine.
She bought a year ago last month.

My son bought a 2003 Nissan 350Z with 140,000 miles for $2900. He added new tires, new coilovers, and new brakes, he sold for $7k.
He then paid $4k into a 1991 Nissan Sentra with 170,00 miles and some customizations that he was excited about.
He's had that vehicle for 2 years. The condition of the vehicle is not pristine (interior is rough. He has a new dash that he hasnt installed yet). But the engine is a dream.

I thought the same thing.

Bought my 2020 ram 1500 Laramie for 42k in 2020. Same truck MSRP is 72k now. Wow.

There are used suburbans going for more than we paid for my wife's 22.

Auto prices are just plain stupid. It’s totally out of hand. Cars don’t need to be that special. High tech raised
These prices
More than anything. A vehicle is the most overpriced thing you will ever buy… it’s a total joke. Just like gas prices, these oil companies can still make a shitload of money buy the public not paying anymore than 2.50 a gallon.

I am looking at the Volvo XC90 hybrid. Those bitches are like $75k.

We looked at the Volvo and the BMW X5e, but we don't have kids yet so didn't need anything that big. Also, the Volvo didn't have wireless CarPlay/Android Auto which is insane on a car that price

You don’t think so??? Why do the oil companies have to make so so so much money???? Like I said they can cut the consumers a break and keep it at a flat rate
And still make a killing.
