Just buy a new one.

If you live somewhere that has a mom and pop watch repair, a movement swap is way, way cheaper than buying a new one, unless you are dying to get something new. No need to send it to Seiko, and you might even have a guy do it while you wait.

Me too. Looks great, built solid, lasts. Haven't had to wind it in the 6 or 7 years I've had it.

Now that I read page 2 and know what a panda watch is, mine might actually qualify, though I always thought the dials were against a dark blue background. But now I'm not so sure.

Pateks can be remarkably inexpensive to own, but expensive to buy in. If you are lucky enough to buy a steel model at retail you can usually beat conservative investments. I had a 5711 I bought at retail, had it for 2.5 years and sold it for about 20% more than I paid for it. The key is having a relationship that allows you to buy the steel sports models at or near retail.

For the OP, I forgot the Tissot PRC200

Those have the Seagull 1901 21,600bph column wheel movement which is a copy of the Venus 175. When I first started seeing those 1901 movements about 10 years ago I was concerned about their longevity especially given a column activated chrono has 40-50% more parts than a cam activated chrono and the Chinese spotty QC track record at that time. They have proven me wrong and from what has been reported are quite robust. They are also another movement that it is cheaper to replace than service, 1901s can be sourced for under $100.

Note the movement is manual wind which turns some people off but many people enjoy it as part of their morning ritual.

Amazon - Timex Expedition $53.30

I was looking for a casual watch with a "Vintage Aircraft Gauge" style and really have enjoyed this watch for a great price.
