If BR had decent leadership they'd develop a expedited emergency response crew. I understand taking your time when someone is seriously injured and needs to be extracted from a vehicle but personnel casually cleaning up a fender bender is stupid.

After medical needs are taken care they need to bust arse getting that shite off the road.

Is it me or is there seems to be a major wreck every week on I 10/12 corridor somewhere. Or on the other side of bridge.
I used to commute Covington to downtown NO every day & rarely saw anything like this. Crazy

Cell phones are supposedly responsible for about half of accidents these days.

I hate restricting freedom but its causing people to die. Text and internet functionality should not work in a moving car. Calls through bluetooth system only.

The choice is yours/ours.

You can turn it off, or not.

@7:00 per BR DOTD
The right lane is blocked I-10 West at mile marker 169 (before Highland Road) due to an accident. This accident is before the other reported accident blocking the left lane. Congestion has reached beyond LA 73. Use caution in the area and expect heavy delays.

I used to see people driving the Causeway reading the paper, men shaving women putting on make up, everything but paying attention.
Cars going 60 on two lane narrow bridge over 24 miles of water & some idiot cant wait to read the paper.? Can't put make up on at home?
Sheesh.

must be (insert day) in Baton Rouge.

Actually expected more traffic on Airline leaving AP. Pleasantly surprised.

I doubt they are sitting around having a sandwich.

And it is a state project.

If people would just move the wreck out of the roadway it would help even more.

Hope the people are ok, but I hope the traffic is horrible.

Baton Rouge deserves its traffic problems.

The wreck was there at 6:00. Unless someone is trapped in the car why is it still there?

Because this is Baton rouge. They have to investigate the thing for a few hours and shut down a couple lanes of traffic for the safety of the officers. Bitch, just buy a damn mothballed chinook helicopter and move those POS wrecked cars off the scene and stop impeding traffic!!!!

I mostly agree, but GPS and it's apps should be allowed to work IMO
