It got up to 95° with a +24° heat index.

Seems a little suspect but I'm no fortune teller masquerading as a meteorologist.

It's the 82 dew point that brings the miserable. Resulting heat index at 95/82 is somewhere between 115-120 iirc.

Correct.

That's a lot of moisture in the air. Anything above 70 degF is humid. The gulf coast region is usually in the mid 70s during the summer months.

FTR, the dew pt hit 84 degF in Belle Chasse last week.
