So that’s where A&M yell leaders come from. Was wondering where they recruited those weirdos from

Texas produces NFL players at the US per capita national average. Whole lot of money for average results. That is to be expected with Texas football though haha.

Texas is all Indians and wusses who had to leave Louisiana just to find a job

I’ve been up there. I’ll be at a game tonight. Katy High vs Cinco Ranch. The school system in Katy has a stadium, they had a bunch of land around it, so they built another stadium next to the original. They start games 30 minutes apart.

3A HS in N Alabama in the 1980s. We had our own rock band playing for pep rallies and the school had its own locally composed fight song and alma mater. Of course the HS was located in, at the time, the Hit Recording Capital of the World and the rock band was composed of the sons of dads who played recording sessions for the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, and the like......

High Schools in Texas are BIG. Allen, according to Google, is now at 7k students, 40% growth over what another poster gave. I'd bet the laser light show was courtesy of someone's Dad's local business and written off as a marketing expense, which it legitimately is. They probably field 3 football teams, 6 soccer teams, two full bands with varsity marching ~600 kids, multiple dance and cheer teams, etc, etc. That's just the way big schools work here.

Allen only has 1 HS in the whole city. McKinney, Plano, Frisco have multiple high schools with smaller student populations. Frisco alone has 12 4A and 5A schools in the city. That's enough for it's own district for football. Think about that. Allen took a different approach with the 1 HS. They only have 1 HS football team or soccer team etc. but they are massive in size.

You’re behind if your stadium doesn’t have artificial turf, press box with elevators, and video replay board.
I don't know anyone who prefers playing on artificial turf over real grass.

I take it you’ve never been to Prosper or Mckinney's stadium…

We are proud of our stadium, so we defend it's honor

My kid played soccer at most of them around here, and they are nice. I have not done the new Prosper one or new McKinney, maybe soon when the next kid goes through.

The part where Allen shines over them, they wrapped around one end zone and that makes it feel different than the open endzones of the rest. McKinney is sunk, but not closed in by fans.

Allen just set a world record for loudest student section, probably thanks to design of the stadium. It also is larger than Prosper and McKinney ranking 4th in Texas, and maxed out one time at 21,756 fans (18,000 seats). The other two stadiums are 12,000 seats.

Allen was a fairly small town when I was in h.s. When I was a Senior, my girlfriend moved to Allen. We didn't break up, which was good because in those days a girl giving a bj wasn't common. This girl loved to give them.

I was just at H-E-B across E. Exchange Pkwy. from that stadium. It could’ve been me. Except nothing happened.
