No, but I'd tell you to take that shite elsewhere, and if you didn't pack it up right away I'd call the cops.

I agree that having bullets flying recklessly around is not a good answer...and the new anti-drone guns that use radio waves to knock them down are obviously effective, but the average consumer is not going to buy one of those, so what do you do? What do you do if a drone is spying on you or your daughter?
Remember it is a federal offense to shoot them down and I doubt the law cares if you do it with a shotgun or a slingshot.

What?????

It was strictly hypothetical. In that situation I would issue a WTF type verbal warning and then put these scarred up knuckles to work.
I fly mine indoors 90% of the time with the occasional spin around my own back yard or up the street.

And when that punctured lithium polymer battery combusts and catches your house on fire I'll be laughing at you.

Federal law says > 83 feet above the ground is legal to fly over someone else's property.

I own one and they are fun to play with. I don't think people get a fair shake with them. Everyone assumes you are up to no good with it. How many people use a cell phone to take a picture of something they aren't supposed to? How many people worried about their back yard privacy leave their curtains open in the front of their house for the world to see or use a cell phone to peer in? Instead of punishing those doing wrong, the entire drone community is catching flak.

just curious, but how many of you people have actually seen a drone flying about? i just saw my first one about a month ago. kind of surprised, thought i'd be seeing a lot more around.

At my house, never.
In public, plenty of times.

I get that...but did you click the link and watch the video? In a situation like that, I think the drone "pilot" is in the wrong and he/she is violating that person's private space. If she can knock that thing down without pulling out her AR-15...she should be allowed to do so. If the "pilot" doesn't want it taken out...don't fly in her private space. Seems reasonable to me.

Out here in the middle of nowhere, I'd have to be sure to avoid the video on it. Also be sure to demolish the thing completely. Burn the components, etc., so the missing thing can't be traced through a GPS chip or something.
Oh, and of course there's that unfortunate boat accident where I lost all my weapons.....

Thats my point. If the person is obviously doing wrong then punish that person. So many people are scared of them for nothing.

Shoot it down with a t-shirt gun. Sure, the drone owners will be mad at first...but then...hey, free t-shirt.

If someone is spying on my family (not just flying over my property en route to somewhere else, but hovering and spying), if I can't walk in my front yard and see where its being operated from, I'm getting a garden hose and spraying it. Hopefully the operator gets the hint and flies away or I knock it down, then the operator is going to have to come knock on my door to get it back. Either way, I'll call the cops myself.

I saw the video. I think the drone operator over-stepped the bounds of "Best Practices". Not sure where "personal space" starts and stops, but I thought he was asking for it. You don't stand 3 inches from someone in the checkout line even though you don't make physical contact.

How long before people start modifying their drones with anti-drone weapons? How much fun would it be to launch your drone to defend your airspace.
