If you add mass to anything, I don't believe speed of light is possible. So what would be the point? Light already goes the speed of light. (Okay, puff puff pass)

That’s not really time travel. That’s just getting ahead of the light emitted from the past to theoretically view the past but you’d be so far away you couldn’t see any actual detail
Time travel is the ability to go back in time at a specific location. Which is likely not possible but if it was would mean the existence of several dimensions and somehow warping time and space to cross into those dimensions

1) time travel: I’d utilize it to accumulate obscene wealth via timed investments and exchange it for gold.
2) then I’d go farther back and use the gold to establish a hidden cult across the world armed with the knowledge of future events to embed themselves within every facet of society with instructions to not influence world events beyond specific things. They will be watching and waiting, setting up my modern power structure, and await my future “rebirth”.
3) I will then place signs for when I’m really for them to notice me.
4) Finally, my agent, a mildly autistic but Brilliant South African man, will pioneer my forced expansion of humanity to the stars.
5) now that my empire is establish and humanities existence is assured via colonies on multiple worlds… I can invent FTL technology
6) Finally.. I begin work on my Adeptus Custodes

Start with time travel. Go to the future, steal the info for faster than light travel, and bring it back to the past before it was invented. Double profit.

Time travel. Then I’ll keep travelling further and further into the future until someone has figured out faster than light travel and steal it, so I can use that too.
