I wouldn't let the money be the only or biggest factor if it were me. If you are financially stable and happy then take the time to think it through bro. There is no place like home.

Without a doubt. It would be amazing to live up there. Country life with the benefits of big cities within a short distance. Plus you're in the northeast but the state isn't quite as insane politically as everywhere else there.

Your wife being from there means you aren't going in completely blind.

Of course it also makes it harder to get back out if you want to later.

People move so much, just treat it like it is temporary in your mind and then if you really like it stay.
