Well my father wasn't normal. He bought a 8K John Deere back in 97 and always made me help.
One weekend I was tired, refused. He was burning trash in the back, Christmas wrapping paper and some got away, caught grass on fire and almost burnt up the neighborhood LOL.
So after that, he made sure I was always out there.
And no, we was country living and never had that problem ever. Just extra dry in winter of 98.

People don't at least have self propelled mowers these days?
If she's really struggling with it I guess I can see your concern but as a whole I don't have an issue with it at all. I'm a girl and when I got in trouble mowing would be one of my punishments. I never had to weed eat tho which after growing up I learned that meant my parents weren't too evil.

I enjoy mowing my grass so I wouldn't make my daughter do it, but I don't see how mowing grass is some outlandish chore for a 14 year old girl.

My new car didn't even come with a jack. Imagine my surprise last month when I needed to Jack the vehicle.

At 14 my sister was picking cotton and sweet potatoes to help pay bills. I'm sure a little grass cutting won't hurt the girl

Absolutely. It's good excercise, a chore that needs to be done, and something she beeds to learn to do. I was doing that from the time i could walk.

My 9 year old son weedeats while I mow. I see zero problem with a child having physical labor as a chore.

There are zero perks of apartment living.

It's junk. I agree.
I wouldn't expect them to do this roadside. I think they need to know how to safely do it if they notice a flat at home, or in a parking lot as to not be stranded.
I told my wife she could destroy the tire/rim slowly driving to a safe place before I wanted her to get out of the vehicle on the roadside. That's what AAA is for.

I would trade outdoor work for cleaning my apt every week. Fact.

If they bought a mower that basically pushes itself and all you do is stand behind it and guide it I dont see why that couldnt be a chore for a teenage girl.
