Fly to Tahiti for 3-4 days then board and head to South America. Not sure where they begin in SA but they are going to go around the cape. Last year they did Sydney to Hong Kong but this one is a few days longer.

I meant 4 months nurse. Some do the entire cruise but most will only do certain legs of the cruise. Those aren't like the Caribbean cruises the ships don't return to the port they departed for 6 months to a year.

Gotcha. From his other thread his uncle is doing the entire cruise. Some cruise for retired seniors.

I guess it would be awesome if you have the ability to be gone that long. Did he mention the cruise line ? It's probably all inclusive so you can drink and eat all you want.

No he didn't. His previous thread was talking about how expensive internet access was on cruiseships and he wanted tips for to get it cheaper.

Funny thing is they never thought cruises would be their cup of tea. Started going maybe 7-8 years ago and have been going ever since. I think they go back to the Mediterranean for the 3rd time in the fall. Keep begging me to accompany them on one but I don't think I could go for more than 7-10 days.

not sure what cruise line the op is talking about but silverseas (I think is the one my parents go on) is all inclusive and they don't even allow tipping or at least highly discourage it. More crew than passengers...smaller ships than the ones in the gulf.
