Would you get ticketed for throwing banana peel/apple core out of car window?

I normally eat an apple or banana in the car a couple of times a week and end up just tossing it out the window. Wife always tells me I’m going to get a ticket one day but I feel like it’s a natural item that an animal will either eat or it will decompose quickly. I obviously pick and choose where I throw it to make sure it doesn’t go in anyone’s yard. What you think? Also is it trashy?

Brother in law got ticketed for apple core toss in Alabama circa 1985. Tried to fight it in court. Claiming it was biodegradable. Judge didnt agree.

there was a thread a few months ago about someone getting stopped for throwing out a sausage biscuit from mcdonalds and made the same argument about animals eating it or it decomposing quickly. he didn't get ticketed but was told he could be if i recall correctly

Pretty trashy. It also increases the chances of animals getting hit trying to retrieve the scraps, apparently.

I got pulled over for throwing a piece of breakfast sausage out of a car window and got a legit ticket. It was from a mean and three and it was gross.

Those things do not break down. Someone I knew worked in the health education space...kept a McDonalds cheese burger in a container for 10 years. No mold...looked the exact same but slightly shrunken.

Did you know that throwing fruits/veggies out of the car is one of the leading causes of birds of prey dying?

I dont know about a ticket, but I threw a pear into the woods in the smokies one time when I was about 10. I didnt realize there was trail below.
Some 40 year old came up all pissy asking who threw the apple. I told him it was a pear and the dude went that way.
