I have a friend (I know, hard to believe) whose father remarried when he was a junior in high school. His stepmom had two pretty hot daughters, one his age and one years younger. The older one was a freak and pretty much jumped him from the get go. She was totally the aggressor and somehow it was his fault when their ongoing relationship was discovered.

Kinda screwed him up for a while after that, though he had no regrets concerning the sex.

I dont have stepsiblings. But if I did, freak no. The way I see it I consider step family my real family. So that is a no go for me.

i mean "step" means you don't really share any dna, right?

so if your parent hadn't met their parent, you could have been complete strangers. so, why not?

I sure wouldn't. But my dad remarried when I was 4 so we all grew up together like normal brothers and sisters.

However I could see how if the marriage happened with kids in their teens how it would work. In fact, I know of a couple who just got engaged. Their parents married when they were around 15. And even though I'm a bit freaked out by it... it's hard to really be that judgemental about it all. They're happy. So there's that.

I also know of a case where a couple got married and later their parents fell in love and got married also. Which made it into a step family marriage I guess. Sometimes 'love' is an odd thing.
