I did for a year after graduating college. Couldn’t find a job doing anything else and had to make money somehow.

God I hated that job.

It's a big investment but also a guaranteed moneymaker. I'm really just mulling over whether I want to deal with all the shite involved in getting one constructed, etc. Most likely I won't do it.

Have you just been looking online, or have you actually contacted them?

Care to give a few examples? Again, I'm not looking to do this, just curious what all earns that pay.

You could add a zero to the back of that and I still wouldn’t do it

Get to hang around high school chicks and snag chicken nuggets whenen ever you wanted. I think we're looking past the positives here. (Not being serious)

This is another reason why I haven't done it.

I have contacted them and they expressed support for where I want to put it and gave me a detailed picture of how much money it is going to take.

You have to work there and can’t have other investments. It’s not a big investment but more like a job you pay to get.

Is it under a million after rights, location, and overhead?

No it was $1.5 - $2 million.

I was the GM of a few Krystal’s in Nashville.

These were franchises so I wasn’t directly employed by Krystal’s. Almost all of the revenue came from tax breaks hiring people on parole. Best I can remember. One guy was required to work 30hrs a week as part of his parole. If he didn’t complete the hours he was going back for 14 years. He lasted two weeks before he was back in. Turnover was so unbelievably high.

Yes, you’re technically salaried but that’s so they can work you 60+ hours a week because you’re the only reliable employee they have. Many times I worked 16+ hours

I learned I never wanted to have to work those types of jobs again.

It's not a franchise. Try again.

So you made a call and they told you how much you’ll need to pay them? Something anyone can do with 10 minutes to kill?

Wow, impressive man. Sounds like you’ve got it all figured out. Nothing to do now but build it and watch the money flow in.

Congratulations on giving them a good location to open a new location and promote an employee from within to operate it.

It's a very obvious location just a matter of time till more fast-food joints open there. That's what gave me the idea to do it. Somebody is going to.

If I were you and you were serious, I would look into acquiring that property. If it will be a desirable location, that is a smart investment if you have the money and opportunity.
